Dillon has transformed from a baby boy into a big kid over night. Since going to kindergarten, he does and says so many different things. He insists on buying his lunch once a week. He will NOT bring a drink in anything even resembling a sippy cup. He rhymes constantly. We can't sit down for snack without him going over every single word he knows and finding a rhyme for it. "boat! OAT!" He's using different words, some of them not so great. The other day we caught him calling his sister a "butthole." I knew this would happen. I knew that the outside world would eventually infringe on my little boy. Part of me thinks it's hilarious and kind of special that he's getting older, butthole and all. He's still my sweet boy, even though he's getting older. He still gives big kisses (right on the lips) to Louise and me when he gets on the bus.
And there's this:
We found this adorable example of artistic genius at his recent open house.
Dillon is also in the "big kids" soccer league this year. He has moved up from Instructional ages 4-6 and is now in Intermediate ages 5-7. The games are a lot more exciting at this age. Dillon is one of the smallest kids on his team, but he certainly tries hard and understands the game.
I will post some updates on our little Louise in my next post!
