Dillon's First Christmas

There's a lot of pictures in this post! We had a nice Christmas, but it was very busy. Dillon woke up on Christmas Eve with a cold. He hadn't slept more than a couple hours the entire night. We went out and spent the day with Tim's family in Stow. Dillon had a ball playing at Grammy and Grandpa's house. He wasted no time crawling into the kitchen and emptying Grammy's cabinets! We drove back to our house that night and Dillon again was up screaming most of the night. We were complete zombies by Christmas morning. You'll notice in the Christmas day shots, I'm wearing the same clothes..yeah..it was THAT bad. haha. Dillon was still under the weather and possible teething so we had to head back home after spending the day at my mother's and my Aunt and Uncle's house. Thankfully, that night he slept from 10:00-1:30 and then from 1:30-7am. It was glorious. Dillon took one nap the entire two days and I've never seen him so hyped up. The pictures are in reverse order but here we go! -----Here we are at my Aunt and Uncles in front of their tree:

We take a "cousin photo" every year..here is 2009:
Dillon opening presents at Aunt Michelle's and Uncle Dicks house. He got a set of nursery rhyme stack able blocks and a wooden car from Auntie Abby and Aunt Michelle and Uncle Dick. We also tried homeopathic teething and irritability Chamomilla tablets and Dillon fell asleep in my arms after taking them. He then ate some dinner for the first time in over a week! I think we need to get some of these tablets:

Here is Dillon at my mother's house in Great Barrington. My mother gave him an adorable wooden push toy. He's a little young for it yet, but once he starts walking it will be perfect!

Here is Dillon on Christmas morning at our house. Notice the mismatching PJ's he's wearing?? Yeah, just another sign of the crazy, sleepless night we had before!! This is the push toy that Grammy and Grandpa got for Dillon:

It converts into a little ride on toy:

Dillon got this toy from Grammy and Grandpa also. He loves the balls that came with it Dillon has his paci in his mouth in just about every picture...we really needed it to get through the holidays! haha:

Dillon got this book from Daddy in his stocking:

Here Dillon is at Tim's parents house. It was about 9:30 here and Dillon hadn't napped all day. He was freaking out and we turned on his new Elmo Live from Aunt Ann and Uncle Mike and he was captivated. He finally pulled up on Elmo's box and tried to give Elmo his paci. It was SO CUTE.

A new hat and gloves from Uncle David and Aunt Liz:

A fun bath toy from Uncle Mike:

A sled from Uncle Brian:

This is where Dillon took one of his only naps of the weekend. This one lasted about 15 mins. Grammy was kind enough to rock Dillon for his other nap, but he was so excited he only slept 30 mins. He must have known it was Christmas!

We had a great first Christmas with our little Dillon. I'm so thankful to have him and he was by far my most treasured gift. Sleepless nights and all, I know that I will look back on these days with great nostalgia!
